Welcome from Principal Soto

Welcome Back to School!

Dear DiLoreto Families,

Welcome to another exciting school year at DiLoreto Elementary & Middle School! We are thrilled to welcome back our returning students and families and extend a warm greeting to those joining our school community for the first time.

At DiLoreto, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated staff looks forward to partnering with you throughout the year to ensure every child reaches their fullest potential.

Celebrating Our Diverse Community

DiLoreto has a rich, diverse, and multicultural history that promotes academic excellence in both Spanish and English for all of our learners. We are proud to offer two outstanding language programs:

  • Spanish Language Development (SLD) Program
  • Dos en Uno, the Consolidated School District of New Britain's Dual Language Immersion Program in Spanish

The goal of both programs is to promote cultural diversity, equity, bilingualism, biliteracy, and multilingualism while preparing students to be successful in an increasingly interconnected world. We celebrate the belief that learning a second language is a tremendous asset that strengthens communication, expands opportunities, and deepens students' appreciation for different cultures.

Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and together we cultivate an inclusive school community where every student feels welcomed, valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.

Our ROAR Expectations

At DiLoreto, we believe that positive relationships and high expectations create the foundation for student success. Our school community lives by our ROAR expectations every day.

Working Together

Student success is built through strong partnerships between school and home. We encourage families to stay actively involved by communicating regularly with teachers, monitoring student progress, attending school events, and reinforcing our ROAR expectations at home.

Together, we will continue to build a school community where every student feels safe, challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Thank you for choosing DiLoreto Elementary & Middle School. We are honored to serve your family and look forward to a school year filled with learning, growth, leadership, and achievement.
